Naveen has successfully mediated in excess of 150 cases since 2002. He is listed in the top-tier of mediators by the Bar Council and is a member of the Civil Mediation Council.
Naveen can help parties involved in a dispute in a variety of areas of the law – including company, construction, contract, employment, land, negligence, property and public law. Naveen has been Accredited as a Commercial Mediator by both the ADR Group and CEDR. He has also trained with RICS and is an Assessor for the Centre of Justice. Naveen is a CMC Registered Workplace Mediator and can help employers who wish to resolve any issues with their employees quickly and in a cost-effective manner.
John is an experienced mediator specialising in all types of property related disputes, including valuation, landlord & tenant and building defects.
Qualified in 1992, he has been actively involved in ADR since that time. John lectures in mediation & arbitration, dealing with some 40 or so cases each year.
Kay runs her own boutique Forensic Accounting and Dispute Resolution practice.
Kay is a Chartered Arbitrator, a CEDR accredited Mediator and has experience in specialist commercial matters including share valuations, insurance claims, management consultancy, corporate recovery, fraud investigations, forensic reconstruction and tax investigations.
Derek qualified as a Barrister in 1980 and has practised in Southampton continuously since then. He is now the Head of his Chambers. He has a wide civil and commercial practice which includes contract disputes, personal injury claims, disputes between landowners and insolvency cases.
He is a member of the Professional Negligence Bar Association and the Standing Conference of Mediation Advocates. He is a very experienced Mediator and has mediated numerous building disputes and other contract claims, as well as boundary disputes, partnership cases and inheritance claims.
Derek also regularly acts as an advocate in cases which proceed to Mediation.Derek is also a Chartered Arbitrator and is qualified to conduct family arbitrations under the IFLA scheme.
Rick Munro is a Partner within the Dispute Resolution team at Pitmans. He has 25 years of experience in acting for both claimants and defendants and has been acting as a mediator since being accredited by both CEDR and the ADR Group in 2001.
Rick’s specialist areas of practice include property damage claims; boundary and rights disputes; construction; insolvency; professional negligence; insurance law; partnership and shareholder disputes; contested probate; contract and other general commercial disputes.
In 2016, Rick qualified with CADR as an evaluative mediator and is now able to offer early neutral evaluation in addition to the more conventional facilitative mediation skills.
Andrew is an experienced mediator, arbitrator and barrister and former broker in the City of London.
He has a purely civil practice. In general terms, he specialises in business, commercial, company, construction, contract, financial, partnership, professional negligence and property work. For many years he’s been committed to the use of ADR processes such as mediation as a more sensible and civilised way to resolve disputes. In 1998 he became one of the first English barristers to become an accredited commercial mediator. Since then he’s conducted over 250 mediations and acted as a specialist mediation advocate in thousands of cases. He’s the current Chair of Solent Mediation Group and current Chair of the Southern Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He sits on the ADR Committee of the Bar Council and is a member of The City Disputes Panel. A key advantage to using Andrew as your mediator is that he is versatile and user-friendly. He has personal business and commercial experience as well as professional legal experience in overlapping categories of work, not only in mediation but also in litigation and arbitration.
Roger is a Director of Biscoes
He has been dealing with Dispute Resolution for most of his working life since 1970, initially Matrimonial and Civil Claims, Personal Injury, Construction and Landlord and Tenant, Boundaries and latterly with deceased Estates, Inheritance, breach of Trust / TOLATA Claims and Commercial Claims between directors, shareholders and partnerships.
His relaxed and informal style quickly creates an atmosphere suited to achieving collaboration and compromise in a swift and economical way.
Mary is an independent mediator and consultant.
A specialist in employment law, Mary practised as a solicitor in the Solent region for almost 20 years and now sits as an employment tribunal judge. She has experience of workplace, community and civil mediation.
Mary launched the internal mediation service at the University of Southampton and in 2012 was named 'Mediation Scheme Co-ordinator of the Year' in the National Mediation Awards.
In March 2014 was appointed an Associate Resolution Consultant at TCM Group, an organisation that offers mediation and other services to a wide range of private and public sector clients.
